Meet the Crew
A Ride The Ducks tour of San Francisco is fun, educational, entertaining and engaging. So, we need Captains and Adventure Specialists that can do all that. This isn’t your run of the mill “to the right and to the left” tour, it’s a Duck Tour!
Captain Jess Kiddun
Captain Jess Kiddun (yeah, right - he is jes' kiddun) got into boats late in life. That's because he wasn't smart enough to get out of them earlier. After a brief 27 year career in the film business, Jess managed to acquire his Captain's License. Happy to see him leave, the film business watched Jess sail off into the sunset on a variety of excursion boats. Long story short, he ended up at Ride The Ducks. Capt. Jess likes nothing better than showing his favorite city to guests aboard his Duck. If you like trivia, bad jokes, and just having fun you'll definitely like Capt. Jess.
Captain Duck Rogers
Welcome to his neighborhood! Capt. Rogers is a local SF personality everyone loves, a true SF
ambassador, a people person and fellow traveler, he loves to share SF to anyone who is ready to ride! You better get ready to have a good time, because he certainly does love his job. Everyone onboard including him will be quacking up laughing with his quick wit and contagious energy and heart as big as the Golden Gate Bridge. Capt Rogers says every tour is an adventure besides landmarks and SF facts, every tour is different, you might see a parade, street fair, sea lion, ball game. Oh yeah, Capt Rogers is a huge SF Giants fan. It's always a wonderful, fun day in Captain Rogers neighborhood!
Captain Remarkable
He is the youngest Duck Captain in the fleet. He flys through the streets of San Francisco with the greatest ease. He once drove his Duck down Lombard Street in reverse! His favorite snacks in the city: crab at Fisherman's Wharf and duck in Chinatown. His quacking is loud and boisterous and his antics resemble those of his great Uncle Daffy. He is the most remarkable captain in the fleet, hence the name.
Captain Grumpy
Captain Grumpy used to be a doctor, but he was a quack. So he decided to give it all up - the feathery clothes, best table at the chicken joint, all the chicks flocking around him - to join the Ducks. His wife thought it was a fowl idea, and she had to be persuaded with a large credit card and a down comforter. But Grumpy could not be happier, flying through his days with a huge grin and a heart as light as a feather.
Captain B
If you ask Captain B, he has done it all. Not only is he a sea captain, he is also a pilot license and has owned a twin engine Cessna. He has sailed up and down the Pacific Coast and would like to go back to Mexico where the water and weather are warm. Captain B lives on his 43 ft catamaran and loves to sail and scuba dive. When he drives the duck, he enjoys telling about San Francisco and gets a kick out of tossing a couple of quackers to the kids on the street. Captain B says you can't beat their smiles. He can't wait to get in the water and have fun with his passengers. Yep, Captain B is a real salty dog.
Adventure Specialist Skye
If it looks like a cowboy, but drives a Duck it's me...Skye. Psychologists identified a condition called Peter Pan Syndrome. Basically it's someone who refuses to grow up. It's real, it exists, I have it. At this point in my late, late childhood I drive Ducks. Best job ever! So, come to San Francisco and look me up. We'll tour the city, see the sites, learn some stuff and then... take a cruise in the Bay. I've met tens of thousands of people from all over the world, but I haven't yet met you. I'm waiting... See you soon.
